A Plant Builds its Roots before it Bears Fruits

A complete transformation is not something that you can see overnight. Most of the time, it takes a long process and a lot of “twists and turns.” It happens on the inside first, and then it starts to manifest in your surroundings. Just like a plant that needs to build roots before it bears fruits, you also need to strengthen your foundations first so that you will see changes in your life. It’s easier said than done, but the reward is greater than the riches that this world can give. The process is going to be worth it. So be patient, especially in seasons when God is still fixing your roots, it’s not easy because you can’t physically see what’s happening, but He is working inside your heart. Trust that things will never be the same after the molding seasons.

Choose to work on the inside first because it’s your foundation and your core. Every decision that you make lies in how you see things and what’s on the inside. If you are not emotionally or spiritually okay, then it will surely manifest in your surroundings. Spend more time developing your character. Treat every hardship as an opportunity for you to purify your heart and renew your mind. Make the most of the situations that God allowed to happen in your life. Use your experiences as your training ground where you can learn the lessons that you need in order to see lasting changes.

Let God move in your life, and the fruits will follow. Put Him first and allow Him to mold your heart. Be patient in moments when you can’t understand His ways. Know that it’s all part of His plans. He has already determined the steps that you need to take and the path that you can follow. If you abide in His ways, then you will surely arrive at the destination that He prepared for you. And you will reap a bountiful harvest. It’s something that is beyond what your mind can perceive. Have faith, and you will see the fruits of your hard work.

You can’t stay long if you are not rooted in His love. The only way to stand stronger, especially when you encounter storms, is to fully embrace God. It’s your relationship with Him that will save you from destruction. So spend more time with Him. Connect to God every single day, and you will live a life worth living. You will not only enjoy the fruits of your efforts, but other people will also be blessed because of what God did in your life.
