Acceptance is Giving Yourself a Chance to Move on in Life

A lot of things in this life are beyond your control. It is hard to accept things, especially when they bring you too much pain that cannot be healed immediately. Painful and hurtful things make you weak and numb. You cannot let go of it because it has its roots in you. There will be times when you would unconsciously cling to it because of the memory it gave you. You might feel guilty over something you regret not doing or feel sorry for the unsaid words that should have freed somebody. But what you have right now is your power of acceptance. Remember, what was done cannot be undone. However, it is never too late to do what isn’t done yet.

Not being able to accept things could make your problems worse. That is why it is vital to get things the way they are. It will take time, and it happens in different seasons. The regrets take time to be accepted. But do not worry, for God will teach you how to be patient. He can give you the knowledge and wisdom to go through the process. He will teach you how to lower your pride so that you can take the lessons and value your worth. You just have to let yourself go through it.

You need to accept things because you deserve to move forward in life. Acceptance isn’t just for those involved; it is a precious gift you can give to yourself. If you humbly live with your situation,  you will experience what freedom is all about. You can be happy despite the things that you’ve been through. The lies planted in your mind do not define you. People who left you did not leave so that you could be on your own but they are just temporary blessings that God gave you.

Acceptance isn’t just about your past but igniting your love within yourself. Yes, loving yourself involves giving yourself chances to let things be how they are. It is settling with the idea that you cannot control things and that you can only accept them. When the journey of acceptance becomes rough, remind yourself of the worth that God has in you. He loves you so much and wants you to have that love within you. Remind yourself that you deserve to give yourself a chance to accept things, let go and move on. You deserve more of this life.
