As you Read the Bible

Before you read His words
Pray that God will speak to your heart
That He may reveal the things
That will break the chains of your past

Ask Him to teach you
About the things that will transform your life
Let Him open your ears
So that you will clearly hear His voice

As you read the Bible
Pray for God’s presence
That He may change the way you think
And the way you see things

Pray that God will lead your heart
And may His words be deeply rooted within
So that whatever problems you face
You will remain strong because of His promises
