Be with People who will Help you Grow in the Lord
The people around you have the power to influence your perspective, so choose your friends wisely. Spend more time with those who will help and inspire you to grow in the Lord. Don’t just rely on your own knowledge and skills. Listen to others and connect to a community where you will feel accepted. Your spiritual journey is more fun if you learn to walk with people who are willing to support you. No man is an island. Don’t live this life on your own. Acknowledge the truth that you need somebody to guide you. God can use someone who is willing to journey with you. He will send the right people, and all you need to do is open your heart so that they can also influence your life.
Hang out with God-fearing people. Talk to them and listen to their testimonies. You can even consult them, especially in moments when you feel alone. Build a relationship with them, and you will learn so many things. Their experiences will give you ideas about the ways of God. Their stories will remind you about His great miracles. You will be amazed at how they were able to overcome the circumstances that He allowed them to face. Their lives will prove to you that God can turn an imperfect human into a vessel that can spread His great love and mercy.
Life is more fun if you spend it with others. God purposely allowed certain people to come inside your heart so that you would not feel alone in the journey. Being with them doesn’t mean that you need to fully depend on what they are saying. They are not your god. Heavenly Father sent them so that you will have company. You still need to focus your eyes on Jesus, but while you walk with Him, learn to acknowledge the lives of those people who willingly humbled themselves to serve and guide you along the journey. Treat them as God’s precious gifts to you. They are priceless, so cherish them with all your heart and be grateful for their lives.
If you think you are surrounded by bad company, pray that God will lead you to the right people. It would be very hard for you to help someone if you are still deeply wounded inside. You need to be surrounded by people who will support you in your healing journey. People who are willing to pray and walk with you. They are not that easy to find, but nothing is impossible for God. He will give you what you need according to His perfect timing. Just trust Him.
