Change becomes Challenging when you still have Unresolved Matters in the Past
Change is not always comfortable. Learning new things and dealing with them sometimes will require you to accept your past and manage the things you don’t know how to deal with. When you face different situations in life, change is always there. However, when we need to shift our perspective and understanding , we sometimes turn a blind eye to it and instead try to change the situation. Most of the time, we can’t control what’s happening around us. The only thing that we have complete control over is what is within us.
Change is not only dealing with the present but also accepting your past. It is about releasing forgiveness to yourself and those that have wronged you. We usually say that past is the past. Yes, it is. But your present is a product of your history. Your memories and experiences that affected you are not there to imprison you, but to help you. It exists to mold and make you learn from it. Do not worry. You can face it. Being fearsome about it is a normal reaction. There are really times that our own selves can surprise us. But you still need to face it anyway.
Forgiving and accepting your past is the first step in receiving freedom. God wants you to face it because He can show you more of His wonders. You will experience more of Him once you start to change. He is doing great things in your life already. He has been doing miracles and never stopped showing you His grace. But it was your perspective that sometimes hindered it from being seen. You are actually experiencing it already but your mind is so full of thoughts that you sometimes ignore them.
Change is not just happening around you. It also needs to occur within. Allow God to help you in handling it. It will take some time, and the process is challenging but know that you can do it because of His grace. Remember that God loves you so much and that the process will be worth it.
Always ask God for knowledge and wisdom. Welcome His word in everything that you do. Experience more of Him in every step of your life. Do not be afraid of change, for it can be the key to your breakthrough. Just deal with your past and let yourself heal. Take a moment and wait. Be patient.
