His Word

Continue In The Grace Of God

When the congregation was dismissed, many of the Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, who talked with them and urged them to continue in the grace of God.

Acts 13:43, NIV

When Paul and Barnabas shared the word of God with the people, they urged them to continue in God’s grace. This is a powerful reminder for us, especially as we grow along the journey. When we get to know Him even more, it’s important to remember the grace of God because it will keep us humble and serve as our foundation.

After all, we are saved not because of our efforts and strength but because of the unfailing mercy and love of God. We received His promise because of His grace, and we should never forget this. The moment we are reminded that we are blessed because of God’s goodness, that’s when we also have the courage to bless others. We will be inspired to help the people around us the moment we learn to embrace His grace.

The things we learned about God are nothing if we will not put His grace above everything. There is this temptation to own the good things that we receive when we choose to forget His grace. That’s why, it’s important to remind ourselves of this basic yet very important principle, because it will help us to stay grounded especially when God would take us to higher places.

God is good to us, not because we deserve it. He gave us blessings not because He owes something from us. It’s all because of His love and kindness. Keep this in mind, and you will have the courage to keep moving. When you learn to depend on His grace, breakthroughs start to take place.

Prayer: Father God, thank you so much for your unfailing grace. Thank you for reminding us about this basic yet very important principle. Please give us the kind of heart that’s willing to depend on your grace. Teach us how to love and obey you. We pray that you will help us stay rooted in the right foundation. This we ask, and pray, in Jesus’ name, amen.
