Day 158 – 1 Samuel 16:7
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
1 Samuel 16:7, NIV
The Lord knows what’s going on inside. People may look at the outward appearance. This world may have a different standard. But always remember that God knows what’s going on inside your heart. And He appreciates you not because of the way you present to other people but simply because He sees your heart and He knows the goodness you have inside. So focus on God’s standards and never allow other people to control you. God sees things differently, so align your heart to Him and choose to listen to His voice because He alone knows your true identity.
I pray that you will not focus on what you can see on the outside. Instead, you will choose to deal with your heart because that’s what matters most in the eyes of God.
