Day 168 – Psalms 119:11
I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
Psalms 119:11, NIV
The best way to avoid sin is to always remember the word of God. Hide His instructions and promises in your heart so that you will be guided. You need Him to teach you how to resist temptation. Stay in His presence and let your love for Him be greater than your selfish desires. Read the scriptures every day so that you will have ideas on how to live this life according to His will. Let the Holy Spirit speak to you and stop relying on your own understanding. Bear in mind the things that God said and connect to Him even in moments when you feel down and weary. Focus on glorifying His Name, and do not start your day without consulting Him.
