His Word

Day 19 – Proverbs 19:11

A wise person demonstrates patience, for mercy means holding your tongue. When you are insulted, be quick to forgive and forget it, for you are virtuous when you overlook an offense.

Proverbs 19:11, TPT

We can’t really control the people around us. Sometimes, we have some negative experiences because of them, and we tend to blame them for what happened. They may hurt us, but we need to be patient to them. I know it’s difficult to do, especially when you still feel pain inside but it’s better not to take revenge. Hold your tongue and do your best to control your anger. You can release them in a place where you can be alone. Just surrender everything to God and pour it out to Him. He will be listening to you. Be quick to forgive and forget.

I pray that you will learn to love others the way God loves you. And that you will have the strength to forgive those who hurt you even if it’s challenging.
