Day 216 – Romans 12:10

Choose love. You may receive pain from the people around you; they may talk bad about you, but be kind and honor them above yourself. Remember the love of God so that you will have the strength that you need. You can’t give what you don’t have. So receive His love first, and you will be able to share it with others. Respect the people around you and keep in mind that they are also God’s creation. They are not perfect, but you are called to serve and do good to them. Fix your eyes on Jesus, and you will receive His compassion, especially to those who are broken and wounded.

I pray that you will love the people around you, including those who mistreated you.
