Day 221 – Isaiah 5:12
They have harps and lyres at their banquets, pipes and timbrels and wine, but they have no regard for the deeds of the Lord, no respect for the work of his hands.
Isaiah 5:12,NIV
This verse was addressed to the people of Jerusalem and Judah. God noticed that they have time for celebrations, entertainment, and pleasures, but they fail to remember the deeds of the Lord, and they don’t have any respect for the works of His hands. Just like the people of Judah, there are also moments when humans tend to put pleasures and entertainment first and tend to forget God in their lives. This is a reminder for us not to seek the temporary things of this world. Instead, we need to put God first in everything that we do.
I pray that you will remember the deeds of the Lord and choose to put Him first.
