His Word

Day 230 – Isaiah 6:1

In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple.

Isaiah 6:1, NIV

Prophet Isaiah saw this vision in the year when King Uzziah died. The king was said to have a good track in the eyes of God not until He committed a sin that led Him to experience a terrible death. God struck Him with the disease called leprosy that eventually killed Him. At this point, it seems like Isaiah felt disappointed because of what happened, and then He saw this vision that reminded Him about the sovereignty of God. He saw the Lord most high, seated on His throne, and the train of His robe filled the temple. This means that God opened the eyes of Isaiah and made Him realize that despite what He felt and the things that were going on, that doesn’t change the fact that God is sovereign and powerful above all else. Just like Isaiah, we also go through moments in life when we feel so disappointed and down, but remember what was revealed to Him. God will continue to reign in our lives, and His power will protect and guide us.

I pray that you will never forget how powerful God is.
