Day 285 – Proverbs 11:2
When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.
Proverbs 11: 2, NIV
We tend to follow our pride because we don’t want to be humiliated. We want to show others that we are worthy of respect and honor. But then in the eyes of God, the opposite thing happens. Instead of gaining the dignity that we want, we will experience disgrace. We need to learn how to humble ourselves. Remember that with humility comes wisdom. We will then experience a peace that surpasses understanding. God’s wisdom is like no other. It teaches us how to treasure this life and bring glory to God. Let’s continue to offer our lives to Him and follow His ways. Let’s honor God in every step that we take.
I pray that we will stay humble in the presence of God.
