His Word

Day 424 – Luke 8:24-25

The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. “Where is your faith?” he asked his disciples. In fear and amazement they asked one another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him.”

Luke 8: 24-25, nIV

Jesus can rebuke the wind and the surging waves. He can make it calm again. So when you go through storms in life, don’t focus on what is happening around you. Instead, remind yourself of who God is. The disciples were scared because they forgot the things that Jesus could do. They looked at the situation around them as bigger than Jesus. But let’s always remember that the power of God is greater than the storms and tragedies we experience in life. So let’s fix our eyes on Him and increase our faith. Let’s claim the miracles that God can do even in the midst of tragedies and hardships.

May you always choose to keep your faith even in the middle of the storm.
