Day 429 – Luke 9:23
Then He said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.

Jesus didn’t promise a life full of fun and adventures. In fact, He said that those who want to be His disciples must learn to deny themselves. It means there will be moments when you need to forget yourself and choose to follow His will. We need to learn how to serve others and not just satisfy our selfish desires. Aside from that, Jesus also encouraged His disciples to take up their cross, which means that there will be challenges along the way. There will be days when we meet suffering and obstacles, but we need to keep on following Him despite all the painful moments we face.
I pray that you will choose to follow Jesus despite the suffering that you will face.
