Day 468 – Luke 22:42
“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”

This was Jesus’ prayer the night before He was arrested and crucified. It wasn’t an easy thing for Him to do. Imagine He will shed His blood and carry the wrath of the Father so that we will have the chance to experience eternity with Him. This moment is so heartbreaking. Jesus even asked God to take the cup from Him. He knows that what He is about to experience is so excruciating. But despite what He felt, He chose to acknowledge the will of the Father. He humbly surrendered His life to God’s plans even if He knew that He would suffer. May we also do the same thing. Let’s learn to follow the will of God even if it feels so difficult and painful.
I pray that you will abide in God’s will despite the sufferings that you will experience.
