Day 470 – Luke 23:34

Jesus said these words when He was crucified on the cross. He humbly asked forgiveness for those people who caused Him pain. He acknowledged that those people do not know what they are doing. This kind of heart is really amazing. How can you possibly ask God to forgive those who brutally hurt you? But Jesus did it anyway. His heart is just full of compassion and love despite the suffering that He experienced. This is a great reminder for us to do good to those who hurt us. This may not be easy, but Jesus showed us how to treat them.

I pray that you will choose to release mercy to those who caused you pain, just like what Jesus did.
