Day 477 – John 1: 46
“Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael asked. “Come and see,” said Philip.
John 1: 46, NIV
Philip extended the good news to Nathanael and told Him that the One Moses wrote about was here, Jesus from Nazareth. And Nathanael wondered if this was true. He didn’t expect that good thing could still happen in Nazareth. Yes, it’s just a small town, and people in the days of Jesus didn’t really expect that God would choose this town as the place where the Messiah would grow. Like Nathanael, we also have this tendency where we tend to underestimate the small things in our lives, thinking that God will no longer do miracles in the areas that we thought insignificant. But God moves in mysterious ways. He would often do unusual and unexpected things just to prove to you that nothing is impossible for Him and His plans will always prevail.
May you never underestimate the little things in your life.
