Day 488 – John 6:38
For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.
John 6:38, NIV
Jesus came here on earth to do the Father’s will. He did everything that God asked Him to do, even if it cost Him His life. He received the pain and the suffering just to fulfill what’s written in the scripture. You see, Jesus didn’t live according to His own will. He humbly depends on our Heavenly Father. He chose to walk on the path that our Father wants Him to follow. May what Jesus did remind us to also obey God. Let’s humbly follow His instructions even if we can’t fully understand them. Let’s not follow our selfish desires. Instead, let’s acknowledge the desire that God planted in our hearts.
I pray that you will choose to do the Father’s will even in moments when you can’t understand His ways.
