Difficult People can Teach you How to be Humble

God allowed you to meet different people to teach you things in life. You will meet and hear different perspectives from them. It could be ideas that are opposite to your principles and beliefs. They would challenge you. Sometimes, their ideas will tempt you to fight with them. You want them to understand what you know. You are so eager to tell them what is going on. But remember what God has taught you. 

Meeting difficult people in life isn’t about knowing how to handle them but how you will understand them. They have been through stages in their lives that filled their hearts with hatred and fear. They also have hard times understanding themselves. They are doing their best to protect themselves. And that caused them to build boundaries that made them forget the good things. Their hearts are filled with too much pain. 

Sometimes, you will have that strong urge to argue with them. Yet, remind yourself that you are not your anger and that you know how to understand. It will be challenging to hold back but know that you can. Take a deep breath and think of the things that God taught you. You were once like them, but God encountered you. He changed your heart. He loves you and gives you the understanding that you need. So, choose to be humble and understand. Turn their painful words and submit everything to Him.

God let you meet them because He wants you to experience more of His love. When you encounter Him, your eyes will be open to the reality that He wants you to understand. A lot of broken people are also caused by broken relationships. And these people also deserve to be loved. It is difficult to do, but God will give you the peace you need. Along your journey, He will teach you how to foster your gifts. He will work within your heart. Just hold on to His promise, and He will give you strength.
