Even Jesus took some time to Pray to our Heavenly Father
We don’t have any excuse, we may think that we are too busy, but it’s not a good reason for us to skip our prayer time. Even Jesus, who is the Son of God, chose to humble Himself and prayed to our Heavenly Father while He was still here on earth. Who are we to rely on our own strength? We all need God’s love and power. We need His mercy and grace every single day. So don’t just call upon His name when you feel lonely and in pain. Consistently align your heart to His will and connect to Him.
Be intentional in your devotional time and spend the first hour of your day in the arms of your Loving Father. Go to a place where you can be alone with Him. Pray and surrender to Him all your worries and cares. Ask Him to fill your heart with His love, and you will be blessed all throughout your day.
Jesus is powerful enough. He can heal people or raise the dead. He can forgive sins and restore somebody’s life. But even though the Holy Spirit is in Him, still that doesn’t stop Him from coming to our Heavenly Father. He doesn’t boast about His power. He acknowledged God as the source of everything. He still allows His will to be fulfilled. That’s how dependent Jesus is on God.
May we learn to also do the same thing. May we choose to treat Him as our source and stop relying on ourselves. Your prayer simply reflects your devotion to God. The more you pray, the more you will realize that you badly need Him in your life. It will lead you to remain humble in His presence.
Treat your prayer time as your opportunity to change and to connect to the Father’s heart. It’s the perfect moment for you to be reminded about His miracles and blessings. If you learn the habit of talking to Him, you can’t help but feel so loved because talking to someone who truly understands your heart is a very wonderful thing. It gives you peace and the chance to find rest. You can do it during your intimate moment with the Lord. You can share with Him everything that is in your heart. You can even pour out the pain and worries. Just don’t come to Him when you feel like you are walking in the darkness. Stay in love with God in every season of your life regardless of what you feel. Glorify Him through your prayers and exalt His Name.
Humble yourself and stop living this life on your own. Ask for God’s guidance and enjoy His presence. Fill your heart with His goodness and mercy. Remind yourself of the great miracles that God did. Talk to Him and let your relationship grow stronger. Abide in His presence and rely on His love. Do not harden your heart or allow your flesh to dictate your actions. Sometimes, the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. Just ask God for strength, and time will come when you find it uncomfortable if you spend your day without talking to Him. One day, connecting to God will become the best part of your day.
