Following God’s Will is not always easy

You will find yourself doubting if what you are doing is right or wrong. You can’t help but compare your life to other people. There will be moments when you want to take a detour because the path you are taking is so unfamiliar. You will feel scared along the way. Most of the time, that’s what following God feels like. His plans are so different, and you can’t help but feel nervous about what might happen next.

It’s not an easy path to follow. There will be hardships and tears. There will be brokenness and pain. After all, God didn’t promise us a life of comfort, but He is giving us the assurance that everything will be okay in the end. Following Him is not for the fainthearted. It’s not for those people who keep on relying on themselves. It takes a humble and faithful heart to finish the journey with God.

Sometimes, the road that He prepared is full of challenges. And it’s not to punish or destroy your life, but He carefully orchestrated every obstacle for your own growth. He looks at your strength and the specific aspect of your life that you can still improve. He is considering the status of your heart and even your past. He perfectly used everything in your life so that His purpose would prevail. So if in case you are going through a very difficult season right now, just remember that God already prepared everything. You may not appreciate His ways, but when you overcome that storm, you will realize that it’s what you need.

Keep doing what is right even in seasons when you can’t feel God’s presence. Trust that He is there guiding you. When you can’t see His light, choose to activate your faith and just keep moving. Take one step at a time, and when you can’t find the courage to get up, just close your eyes and remember the good things that God did in the past. Never forget His faithfulness. Put your promises in His heart and always believe in His great love. God never failed you before, and He will stay by your side no matter what happens. There is a big purpose why He instructed you to take that path. Don’t worry because He will not waste your sweat and tears.

Every pain and hardship you experience will serve as important ingredients for your success. You won’t appreciate His ways for now because maybe you are so overwhelmed with your negative emotions. But time will come when you will look back with gladness. One day, you will thank Him for allowing you to know Him more.
