Give yourself the time to Grieve for the Things that you no longer Experienced
Change is constant. Whether you like it or not, you will go through moments wherein you need to let go of the things you used to experience. You need to say goodbye to certain people or seasons. But before you can do that, go through the grieving process first and patiently deal with the negative emotions that you feel inside. Learn to process what’s going on in your heart and mind. Please don’t ignore what you feel. It’s there to give you some ideas about the things that you need to face and deal with. Acknowledge what’s going on in your heart. Give yourself some time to feel sad because of the thought that you might no longer experience the same happiness again. Cry it out to God. You are free to do that. Surrender everything and be vulnerable in His presence.
The sadness that you feel is just an indication that you experienced great things in life. It means that your previous season really taught you a lot of things, and you really grew because of what you went through. You are simply sad because you think that you won’t be able to experience the same kind of fulfillment and joy again. And it’s okay to feel that way. But after you acknowledge that emotion, you need to slowly let go and allow God to move. Open your heart and let Him give you the courage that you need to face the new season. Fear may try to consume your thoughts, but let the pain that you feel lead you to receive more of His strength.
Walk with God along the healing process. You are not alone. He is with you all along. He never leaves you. Call upon the Holy Spirit, and He will be there to minister to you. Don’t just proceed to the next season and act as if nothing happened. The truth is, you still need to adjust to the new things that God allowed you to be experienced. You can’t fully appreciate the present if you won’t properly grieve for the things you tried to let go of. Ask God to help you, and He will be there. Please don’t go through the journey on your own. God is holding your hands. You just have to seek Him and you will slowly feel His presence.
Your loving Father understands your heart. He knows how hard it is for you to say goodbye to certain people or seasons in your life. But keep in mind that God will never ask you to do something without His presence and guidance. Don’t worry because He always prepared something great ahead. You are just in the process of growing. That’s why there are days when it’s painful and heartbreaking. But just stay grateful for the things that you received from Him and know that better days are still ahead.
