God Also Wanted To Save Our Entire Household
Paul and Silas were in prison when they met a jailer who also wanted to be saved. After the man witnessed how the two disciples responded to the suffering and persecution they experienced, he was inspired to know their faith. That’s when they told the man that he needed to believe in the Lord Jesus, and then he and his household would be saved.
This is a reminder that we do not need to earn our salvation. It’s all by God’s grace. We are saved because of what Jesus did, and all we need to do is believe in Him. Paul also gave the jailer a wonderful assurance that his household would also be saved.
As a follower of God, have you ever prayed for the salvation of your household? Have you ever imagined the profound joy that would fill your heart if all your family members had a personal relationship with Jesus? This is not just a dream, but a hope that can be realized through the transformative power of prayer. Just as the jailer experienced the joy of his family’s salvation, we too can hold onto the hope that our prayers will bring about a similar transformation in our families.
This scripture is not just a historical account, but a promise from God to us. It is a reassurance that He desires the salvation of our entire household. This promise is not just for the jailer, but for each one of us. We can hold onto this promise, knowing that one day, all our family members will come to know the love of God and accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior. So, let’s not lose heart. Let’s continue to pray, knowing that God hears our prayers and is working for the salvation of our loved ones.
Prayer: Father God, thank you for this opportunity to pray for the people that we love. We just wanted to claim this verse in our lives, Lord. We pray that one day, all of our family members will know you and have an intimate relationship with you. You are the only one who can draw people closer to your heart. We pray that you will also draw the hearts of our loved ones so that they may receive the salvation that you offered to us. This, I ask and pray, in Jesus’ name, amen.
