God can turn the Works of the enemy into something Good
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. - Genesis 50:20, NIV
The story of Joseph, the son of Jacob, will help you see the ways of God from a better perspective. He experienced devastating moments in life. His brothers plotted to kill Him, and He was sold to the Ishmaelite who took Him to Egypt. And there, he was accused and went to prison. But even though He went through painful experiences, still Joseph chose to stay faithful to God. He used His God-given gift to interpret dreams while He was in prison, and that’s where the Pharaoh noticed him.
Joseph gained God’s favor, and he was put in charge of Egypt. There, the people experienced a great famine, and that’s when his brother approached him and asked for His help. Instead of feeling bitter to His own brothers, Joseph said these amazing words “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.”
This is how powerful God is. Even though Joseph experienced so many painful events, still God was able to use the darkest days of his life for the good of His people. Just like Joseph, we will also experience so many bad events along the journey. But that doesn’t mean there is no hope. We need to keep our trust in God and stay faithful to Him. We must obey His words and follow His ways so that we will be guided.
Joseph’s life is a perfect reminder for us that God can do all things. He can turn the most painful moments in your life into a testimony that will glorify His Name. He can make things new in His perfect timing. So believe in His great power and stop doubting. Know that no matter how much the enemy tries to harm you, God can still make things aligned to His plans. You just need to keep your faith and believe in His promises. Joseph didn’t hate God when He experienced so many painful situations. Instead, he chose to abide in His will. He allowed God to use him for His glory. He didn’t hate his brothers who sold him. Instead, he focused on the good things that God did in his life. May we also do the same thing. May we learn to set our eyes on God’s blessings and not on the pain that we experienced. May we learn to be faithful even in the midst of suffering.
Know that the plans of God are always greater than what your mind can perceive. You may not understand the reason why you need to go through pain, but acknowledge the truth that He sees what’s ahead. What He is doing is for your own good. He may not explain to you the reason why you need to walk in the wilderness, but trust that God is doing something great behind the scene. He is writing the perfect testimony for you. So rest in His presence and continue to serve Him. Stay rooted in His love, and one day, He will let you see the great blessings that He prepared. When the time is right, you will learn to appreciate everything you experienced, including the pain and the tears.
