His Word

God is Light – Psalm27:1

The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalm 27:1, NIV

Have you ever felt so down to the point that you no longer see the good things around you? Have you been through a dark season where you find it hard to even get up and live? Have you ever felt so scared that you can no longer think properly? If the answer is yes, then here’s an important reminder for you.

The Lord is your light and your salvation.

It means that no matter how terrible your situation is, Jesus will be there to give you hope. His light comes in different ways. Sometimes, He sends someone who will help you, or He will lead you to a place where you will be reminded of His love. There are also instances when God uses certain situations that will open your eyes to His amazing grace and bountiful blessings.

Just stay with God and He will give you the chance to experience more of His presence. And when you are sensitive to His ways, you will slowly appreciate His light in your life.

God is also your salvation. Life may throw many difficult circumstances and problems your way, but remember that Jesus is your Savior. He will free you from the bondages that hindered you from fulfilling your destiny. He will break the chains of sin, and He will restore your life.

Do not be afraid. The God who created this universe is with you. He loves you, and He will take good care of you no matter what happens. Believe in His power and hold on to His promises. Be faithful to Him, and you will know Him more.

Prayer: Loving Father, thank you so much for reminding me that you are my light and salvation. Please lead me to your heart, Lord, so I may never forget your grace and blessings. Help me, especially when I go through the darkest season. Teach me to trust you, especially when I feel scared and tired. This, I ask and pray, in Jesus’ name, amen.
