His Word

God’s Right Hand Will Sustain You

He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You make your saving help my shield, and your right hand sustains me; your help has made me great.

Psalms 18:34-35, NIV

In life, we will go through difficult battles, some of which cannot be seen. Most of the time, the hardest battle happens on the inside. These are the struggles that people never really notice, not unless they intentionally listen to us. We somehow hide these things because we are scared that people might judge or condemn us.

In this verse, David describes how God will help us overcome our battles. He is there to train and teach us what to do. He will give us enough strength. His saving help will be our shield, and His right hand will sustain us throughout the journey.

I don’t know what kind of battle you are going through. Maybe you are struggling with your finances, relationships, or perhaps with yourself. But keep this promise in mind. You are not alone in this journey. Seek God’s help, and He will be with you. He will never leave you. Surrender everything in His arms, and He will equip you.

Sometimes, God’s way of training us is different from what we expect. He somehow allows us to face minor challenges so that we will be prepared for what’s ahead. God can use the obstacles in front of us to mold and shape us into a better version of ourselves. It will lead us to the right mindset. And when storms come, we will be equipped enough to overcome them.

Keep in mind that God knows what He is doing. Trust and keep your faith. One day, when you look back, you will be amazed by how God strengthened you all along the way.

Prayer: Father God, thank you so much for staying with us, especially when I face battles in life. Thank you for giving us the strength that we need. Please give us a humble heart that’s willing to follow your instructions. We pray that you will remind us of your unfailing grace. So that when we face so many problems, we will always choose to honor and glorify you in the end. This I ask, in Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
