I do what I do

I want to know who God is
Not that I want something
But because I long
To experience life with Him

I want to encounter His love
Not that I want to be get healed
But because that’s way
I can learn to fully love Him

I go to church
Not that I am perfect
But I know I am a sinner
I terribly need His grace

I want to increase my faith
Not that I want miracles
But that it will please Him
And will make me closer to Him

I want to obey His words
Not because I long for a reward
But I want to bring honor
And glorify His name

I talk to God every day
Not for Him to protect me
But because I just love
Spending more time with Him

I believe in Him
Not just of His great powers
But because all this time
He’s been so faithful

God is more than my healer
He is more than my redeemer
God is my best friend
He is my lover
