I Pray That Today’s Pain Will Become Tomorrow’s Blessing

I don’t know what will happen next. I don’t know what’s waiting for me ahead. The pain of the present tries to whisper that tomorrow will be the same. The wounds would try to tempt me to think that there’s no hope left. But for sure, this is only temporary.

The time will come when things will be better. But until then, my Lord, this is the cry of my heart:

Please give me the reason to believe in your promises. Please teach me how to hold on to my faith. There are just times when I feel so tired and exhausted. I want to quit. And I wanted to rest. But you are the source of my strength. Please make your presence more evident.

Lead me to your heart, my Lord. Open my eyes so that I may see your hands. Strengthen my soul so that I may be able to do what’s right in your eyes.

I pray for your wisdom. Teach me how to rely on your words, and not on my own knowledge and understanding.  

Help me to stay rooted in your love. So that in everything that I do, I’ll always be reminded of the purpose that you planted in my heart.

Father, teach me how to handle this pain. Give me a humble heart that’s willing to surrender all my burdens in your presence.

I pray that you will transform all my tears into a blessing.
