If you want to Know God more, then Read the Scriptures

Knowing God takes time. It will not happen instantly. You need to go through the process and let your relationship with Him grow stronger as time passes by. And you can only encounter more of Him if you learn to open the Bible and read His words. It takes consistency and commitment. You need to remind yourself every single day about His great love and power. You will know who He truly is if you allow Him to speak through the Bible. Treat it as your manual in life. Never begin the day without communicating to Him. Let Him be the center of your life, and you will be blessed. The scriptures will open your eyes to the truth that you need to embrace.

If you are in a relationship with God, then it means that you delight in Him and put Him first. You need to be intentional with how you spend your time. If He is important to you, then you need to learn how to love Him even more. And you can only do that by reading the scriptures. It’s powerful than you think. You may not appreciate the words in the Bible, but the moment you will go through the wilderness, and when you face hardships, you will realize how valuable it is. It’s like a powerful shield that will protect you against the lies of the enemy. It will be a source of hope when you feel so weary.

His word is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. So rely on Him and let Him guide you. Fill your mind with His truth so that you will not be easily swayed by the standards of this world. Remind yourself over and over again that He is the only One you need. And He alone can satisfy your heart. Stay in His presence. Listen to His voice and let His promises give you the strength that you need. Set your eyes on His instructions, and you will overcome everything that comes your way.

Reading the scriptures every day means that you are humble enough to admit that you can’t live life on your own. You need His guidance and instructions. Consulting Him first is the best way for you to overcome the challenges that you will face. His word will prepare you for what’s coming. It’s like a seed that will grow inside your heart. When the right time comes, you will see the fruits of what God planted inside, and you will realize that all the times you spent with Him are not wasted.
