The soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on his head. They clothed him in a purple robe and went up to him again and again, saying, “Hail, king of the Jews!” And they slapped him in the face.

Our Savior doesn’t deserve to experience this maltreatment. But He took this pain and carried every painful word that the soldiers said to Him. He is a perfect human. He never commits mistakes. Slapping Him on the face is just too much to bear. But Jesus chose to stay and never walked away. He patiently went through the process. He chose to face their accusations. If you only experience what Jesus went through, you will realize that it’s not easy to carry the consequences of your sins. We could’ve experienced this pain, but our Savior chose to offer His life for our sake.
I pray that you will realize what Jesus went through just to save you.
