His Word

John 19: 26-27

When Jesus Saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to her, “ Woman, here is your son,” and to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.

John 19:26-27, NIV

Jesus loved his mother so much that even when He was already crucified on the cross, He was still so concerned with Mary. As she was crying in pain and agony because of what her son experienced, Jesus asked His disciple to take His mother with him. This act of love is indescribable. He didn’t leave His mother alone. Jesus tried to take good care of her even in His last breath. May this scenario remind us how to properly treat our parents. Let’s not leave them empty on their own. Let’s love them just like what Jesus did to Mary. Let’s take good care of them until the end.

I pray that you will love your parents with all your heart, just like what Jesus did.
