Just Sitting Beside Your Friend Without Saying Anything Is More Than Enough
Your presence is always enough. Sometimes, your friends just need to know that someone is listening to them. You don’t have to tell them a lot of fantastic advice. All you need to do is to let them feel that you still exist in their lives. You just have to sit beside them and let them realize that no matter what happens, you are their friend and that will never change.
We tried so hard to find ways to help them, but sometimes, the answers to their problems are just found inside their hearts, and all you have to do is support them all along the way. We don’t have to dictate to them what they need to do, we just have to be ready and let them feel our presence every time they are sad and down because the fact that they have someone who can always lean on is already a great help for them.
We may not know how to comfort our friends, but we always let them feel important by simply staying with them. Sometimes, what they need is not exactly the solutions to their problems, but someone who is always willing to listen and understand them. They just need to pour out everything that they feel inside, and you just have to make sure that you are always there when they need you.
Most of the time, your friends never really understand what they feel inside, and you just have to make them know that even though you don’t know what’s happening in their lives, you are always willing to journey with them no matter what happens. The moment you let them feel that they are worthy of being loved, then that’s when you already made a big difference in their lives.
You don’t have to do extravagant things for your friends. The simple things you do for them is already a big deal, they may not understand and see everything that you are doing for them right now. But one day, they will realize that you are one of the greatest treasures in their lives. I know that you also have your life, and you also need to take good care of yourself. But always put this in your heart, life is sweeter when we learn to serve and love others just like what God did.
