Life As It Is
Life is hard. At first, it feels like an adventure, but when you find yourself at the bottom, you’ll be tempted to think that your situation will last forever. When you are in the middle of an overwhelming season, you will find yourself focusing on the worst things that will happen. What if things will never be the same? What if this is the end? These thoughts in your head appeared to be louder than God’s promises.
Life is sometimes harsh. You will go through unexpected moments that will test your identity and faith. In fact, there would be days when you can’t help but pray for the good things in the past to happen again. Because of the struggles and difficulties, your heart can’t help but seek an escape or perhaps a temporary rest. Life is not easy, but what’s good about it is it will never lie to you. It always speaks nothing but the truth. It will open your eyes to the things that you need to change.
Sometimes, it feels like a slap on your face, but later on, when you learn to deal with the problems, little by little, you will realize that most of the painful moments were actually blessings. It’s just hard to look at the positive side when you are still in the middle of the situation. But the moment God starts to give you the right perspective, you will surely see His hands along the process.
Life is hard, but it’s a gift. This is hard to accept, especially when you are going through something. You will feel like no one cares about you. Or people have already abandoned you. You can acknowledge those feelings because they’re real. You can’t deny those things because it’s what you experienced. But just because you feel that way doesn’t mean it’s the absolute truth.
You will discover the truth the moment you accept life as it is.
So when you don’t know what to do next, just let life be life.
Live. Breathe. Cry. Wipe your tears. And then try again.
Most importantly, don’t forget to keep your faith. It’s what will keep you going.
