Most Of The Time, Hurtful Words Come From Wounded Hearts
If you wonder why you receive hurtful comments from the people you love, then try to evaluate their lives. They might experience a lot of pain inside. That’s why they tend to release hurtful words in their mouth. Most of the time, the painful words that you receive come from people who are wounded deep within. Remember that hurt people, hurt people. Maybe they just release the pain they feel inside through their words, and you just happen to be the receiver. I am not saying that you should forget what they did to you. I’m just sharing with you a new perspective that you might want to consider.
Those people are in pain. They may appear to be so bold and strong on the outside. You may always recall those moments when they feel so angry about so many things. But the truth is, they are just hiding all the pain deep within. Maybe they don’t want others to see them as weak and vulnerable. That’s why they would rather choose to hide their true feelings. You may not understand those people, and you may feel so disappointed with the words you hear from them, but they are just scared and broken. You can’t see it right now, but once you fully know them, you will realize that all this time, they are fighting serious battles deep within.
Learn to understand and forgive those people. I know that it’s not easy, but it’s the only thing you can do to set yourself free. Let go, and surrender those people to God. You can never control them. They have their own choice and decisions. The best thing that you can do is to pray for them. Ask God to heal their wounded hearts. So that they will no longer hurt other people just like what they did to you. The moment you start to accept the truth that those people are hurting, you will slowly understand them.
Just allow God to teach you how to love them. You may think that they are not worthy of love, but remember that we are all God’s creation, and we are called to love each other. Instead of listening to those hurtful words, why not listen to the words of God, and you will be empowered. Let Him remind you about your true identity. and you will never be shaken. Choose to bless those who caused you pain, and one day, you will see the hands of God moving in their lives.
