My Prayer

I pray that I will focus
On the good things around me
May I treat every moment
As God’s beautiful blessings

I pray that I will be grateful
And I may see simple blessings
As part of God’s miracles
And as part of His wonders

May I choose to thank God
For everything I have experienced
And stop complaining to Him
And have the heart to receive His grace

May I remember His faithfulness
When I face detours along the way
May I learn to keep my faith
And allow learning from pain

I pray to always glorify His name
Even in wounded moments
May I learn to rest in His presence
And stop looking for love in the wrong places

I may not have assurance
Of a smooth journey ahead
But one thing is for sure
God is always with me

I will choose to put Jesus first
Above all that I have and I am
I will learn to love myself
Just the way how God loves me
