Obedience will Help you build a Strong Foundation
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.
Matthew 7:24-25, NIV
Jesus said in His words that if you obey His teachings, then you are like a wise man who built His house on the rock. It means that you will have a strong foundation that will protect you from the storm of this life. Jesus’ teachings are not just food for your soul, but you need them, especially in moments when you feel weary. His instructions will help you build a foundation that will not be easily shaken. So do not take His word lightly. He revealed them to you for a purpose. You are meant to obey and follow them. And it’s not just for the sake of God’s glory, but it’s for your own good.
He wants you to receive His strength, and one way to do that is to humbly obey Him. Pray that God will teach you how to follow Him even in moments when you feel weak and in pain. Rely on His wisdom and acknowledge His ways. Trust in Him, for He knows what’s the best thing to do.
Obedience is not just about hearing His words and believing them, but it’s about putting everything into action. It’s not an easy thing to do. Sometimes your faith will be tested. But the lessons and the revelations that you received from God are nothing if you won’t apply them. Let His love give you the assurance that everything will be okay. Do not be afraid. You may find it hard to follow His instructions at first, but take one small step at a time and remember that you are doing it not for yourself, but it’s all for God.
You will gain enough strength the moment your start following His will. You will experience His miracles along the way. Keep moving, and you will overcome the negative things that you feel inside. Rely on His grace and not on your own strength. Treat His love as your core motivation in doing the things that He entrusted you to do.
Remember that following the will of God will help you gain more strength. It will teach you about the important things that you need to consider in your life. Behind every instruction are blessings that will change you for the better. Sometimes, His will is something that is very different from the standards of this world but keep doing it even if other people can’t understand you. What’s important is you choose to please God despite what you feel. Know that He honors your heart.
Keep planting good seeds in His presence, and one day, you will bear fruit that will bless your life and also the people around you. When you go through challenges, you will realize that God’s words will truly strengthen your soul. And because you choose to follow His instructions, you will gain the confidence that you need to overcome every obstacle. Keep listening to His voice, and know that everything that you do for His glory will never be in vain. One day, it will all make sense.
Choose to obey Him even in moments when you feel scared. Remember His goodness and faithfulness in your life. Know that He will never abandon you. He will not give you certain instructions if He doesn’t help you in the first place. God knows what you need, and sometimes He will give them to you in ways you can never expect. So keep on doing the right thing. Surrender what you feel to God. Build your relationship with Him by obeying His words. And your life will never be the same. In His presence, you will find strength and enough courage to keep pursuing the desires He planted in your heart.
