Please teach me How to love

Dear God,
Please teach me how to love
Especially when I feel so in pain
Teach me how to open my heart

Teach me to choose
How to follow your ways
Even in moments when I’m broken
Give me strength, Lord

Strength to believe in your promises
Remind me always of your grace
Open my eyes to your great blessings
Please help me increase my faith

When I can’t see the road ahead
Help me to stay faithful
Please give me a reason to keep on going
Give me a humble heart, Lord

Despite all the doubts
All the fears feel inside
Father, please teach me how
To serve you always

Teach me to widen my perspective
That I may not focus on my pain
But also to other things
That will help me grow in it

Lord, I can never do this alone
I know that I am weak
That’s why it gives me the courage
I rely upon You for my strength
