Real Worship

Sometimes,
When your heart is breaking
Real worship is happening
Like when you experience pain

When you choose
To lift your hands to God
Sometimes, you sing praises
And tears could be falling

You cry out, Hallelujah
Even when you are in pain
You declare God’s holiness
Even when you go through problems

That’s when you learn
How to truly worship God
Your heart feels so heavy
But you choose to raise your voice

As you kneel and praise
God, for His greatness
You also declare in yourself
To always choose His promises

You’re learning to embrace
The imperfections in your life
You are accepting the truth
To praise Him in unexpected moments

In the wilderness season,
You never stop glorifying His name
Your lips are uttering worship
And your heart is crying out for His love

You simply acknowledge
That you can’t make it on your own
It’s an act of surrender and trust
Because you believe in the power of God

You are encountering His love
So if you are going through problems
Stop focusing on finding solutions
Worship God, and everything else will follow
