Rely On The Holy Spirit
Barnabas and Saul were sent by the Holy Spirit for a special mission. This calling wasn’t just something that is made up of human desires, but God Himself anointed them to preach the gospel to other places. It is important to note that they didn’t simply came up with their own plans, but instead, they choose to rely on the Holy Spirit to guide and lead them.
This is a powerful reminder for us to seek the Holy Spirit. We may have our plans, but God is always there to guide and support us along the journey. Remember, John 15:26-17, “I will send you the Helper from the Father. The Helper is the Spirit of truth[b] who comes from the Father. When he comes, he will tell about me. And you will tell people about me too, because you have been with me from the beginning.”
It is the Holy Spirit who will help us share the light of Jesus in this world. That’s why, we need to acknowledge Him in our lives. Let’s open our hearts and receive God’s presence. Let’s ask His hands to lead us all along the way. We need His help. He is the One who will convict us to do the right thing especially in difficult situations.
At some point, it’s not how perfect our plans are or how many resources we have, but victory depends on the way we rely on the Holy Spirit. We may exert our efforts and give our best, but everything will be wasted if we don’t ask the Holy Spirit to intervene. It’s Him who can lead us to a fulfilling life and give us eternal treasures.
Prayer: Father God, you are Great and Mighty. You are Holy and Righteousness. You are the Creator of this universe. You are above all things. We thank you for giving us the chance to experience a glimpse of Heaven here on earth through the works of the Holy Spirit. Thank you for guiding and leading us to the right path. We pray that you will give us a humble heart to acknowledge the ways of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Remind us to depend on your love and teach us how seek to your presence every single day. This we ask, In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
