Remember that we all have Different Love Languages

There are moments when you feel like the people around you don’t love you, not because they didn’t express it to you, but it’s because they speak a different love language. They just don’t show their love the way you want them to. So if you wanted to improve your relationships, you need to know the person’s love language so that you will be able to communicate your love to them in a way that they will understand you. It takes an intentional decision to do it. Sometimes, it takes hard work and patience. But if you will let God lead you, then He will teach you how to love others with the best that you can. It also takes a humble heart to learn from God, but in the end, it will absolutely transform you into a better person.

According to the famous author Dr. Gary Chapman, there are five different love languages.

  1. Acts of service – These are people who treat actions as louder than words. They feel valued when people are always there to help and serve them.
  2. Receiving gifts – These are the ones who love to receive gifts from others. They feel so happy and treasured when someone makes an effort to give them something even if there are no special occasions.
  3. Quality Time– These individuals feel so loved when someone spends meaningful time with them. They just wanted to be with the person who values their presence.
  4. Words of affirmation – People who have this love language wanted to hear pleasant words from someone they love.
  5. Physical Touch – These are the ones who love to hug the people around them. They show their affection through physical touch.

Just know the love language of a person, and you will learn to appreciate and truly love them in your life. Communicate in such a way that people will understand you. Learn to observe and ask God how to love others. These love languages are just a guide, but if you truly wanted to understand a person, the best One who can teach you how to do it is the creator Himself. Consult Him, and He will reveal to you the important things that you need to do.

After all, God is still the best teacher. Just acknowledge the truth that we all need to learn how to understand others. And we can only do it if we are filled with God’s love. So open up your heart, and He will change you. He will be the One who will teach you how to properly express your love to the people around you.
