So This Is Love
When I was a child
I thought that love is all about hugs and kisses
It’s when you feel happy with someone
And their embrace gives you comfort and peace
When I was a teenager
I thought that love is all about romance
It’s when you find the right person
And spend the rest of your life with him
When I was in college
I thought that love is just about giving
When you give, it means you love the person
And you wanted to share what you have with him
But when I encountered Jesus
Everything changed
Love became the word
That I can never explain
It’s all about sacrifice
It’s giving up your life
It’s about commitment
And I can never comprehend it
So this is what love is all about
It’s what Jesus showed us on the cross
It’s something that I can never fathom
His love is strange and unique but always the best
