Faith

Sometimes, Faith can start from Fear of the Unknown

Facing difficulties in life can make us feel so afraid. Problems and hurdles can even make us fearful of the things that aren’t happening yet. The surroundings and every bad news we get from the media and rumors can plant fear. It can make our thoughts paint vivid images that feed our anxiety and worries. Danger and incidents cannot be controlled.

We need to have in mind that a lot of possibilities could really happen in our lives, anytime and anywhere. However, we must be vigilant and careful, especially with what we feed ourselves. Remember that fear cannot be overcome with fear. It doesn’t mean that it’s a bad thing. It enables us to be careful, vigilant, and alert. Importantly, it is a stepping stone to strengthening our Faith in God.

Without fear, faith doesn’t seem to be too visible. It cannot come out when there is nothing in our life that would push us to call and believe in God. This does not mean we need to find ourselves in fearful situations to increase our faith. Instead, we need to know and acknowledge it, for fear can exist and happen anytime.

It is okay to be afraid but we also need to be alert. We need to trust in Him in all our life situations. We can use fear to plant that faith in ourselves and, most notably, in God. We can declare His goodness anytime. We need to remember His words and His promises.

Instead of living life so worried about what may be, let us focus on what He has for us. It may not always be visible, or it may not align with our expectations, but believe that His plans are more significant than ours.

We can win over our own anxiety because God already overcomes them. Remember that He would not push us out in that situation right away. He knows the depths of our hearts and the roots of all our worries. The good thing is that He wants to help us. He wants to teach us how to deal with it. He always cheers us up when everything in our lives pulls us down. He is a Father, a dad, a friend, and a best friend. He knows what’s best for us. So instead of focusing on the fearful situation, let us rest and cast our worries on Him. Let us declare His goodness in everything we do. It may look like nothing is happening, but let us have faith that God is working.

Faith can exist everywhere, and God will use anyone or anything to be close to us. The fear that we have, most of them, are not happening yet. Sometimes, fear could destroy our dreams because it makes us doubt ourselves. That is why we need to remember that there is more that God can do. So, let us set our eyes on what is already there. Let us treasure the things God allowed us to experience and hope for more in the future.
