Sometimes, God speaks through your Reality
God can send a very important message through the present situation that you are facing. He speaks behind the actions and words of the people around you. He sends warning through the reality that’s in front of you, but sad to say, you make things too complicated for Him to connect to you. Sometimes, your expectations are just too far from what He wanted to say. Your heart wants something great, divine, and holy just for you to get His message. But what if God is already speaking, and you just fail to recognize His voice? What if He is already correcting you through the behavior of other people? You just don’t get it because your heart is not humble enough to accept the truth that something is wrong. Before everything is too late, do something about the reality that you face because behind every situation that you experience is a message that God wants you to receive.
Listen to the people around you. It doesn’t mean that you need to please them. They are not your god, but they can be God’s vessel to help you realize what’s really the root of your problems. They may appear younger or older than you but don’t look at them according to your own standards. Instead, ask God to lead you to the right people who can open your eyes and help you see the truth. You need to learn how to quiet the voices in your head. Sometimes, it means giving up your pride. It means letting go of your own assumptions and allowing new ideas to come in. Listening is not just about opening your ears, but it’s all about humbling yourself and accepting the truth that there are misconceptions in your head that you badly need to correct.
You also need to learn lessons from others. You can’t live this life on your own. You are not created to be an island. You are meant to be part of a family and a community wherein you are accepted. So don’t just rely on your own understanding. Learn the habit of asking for pieces of advice and help from others. Just because you need their support and assistance doesn’t mean you are weak. In fact, the real strong people are those who are willing to give up their pride and go through the process of acknowledging other people’s opinions.
God will confirm everything in His word, but if by chance He doesn’t speak to you through the scriptures, please ask Him to open the eyes of your heart so that you will get the message behind the difficulties that you are facing. Allow the Holy Spirit to lead you to the right people. Sometimes, your interaction with them won’t appear holy and divine. It happens even on ordinary days. You must be sensitive enough to His moving. You need to learn how to carefully listen to the right people that He will send and to the situation that He allows you to experience.
