Sometimes, Losing means Gaining in the presence of God
Losing is not bad, but it is a matter of perspective. When you lose, you feel like a part of you has been torn apart or taken away from you. What’s worse is that you feel like what you have been working so hard for suddenly fades like nothing happened. Watching what you have worked hard for just taken for granted by the people who did not even know what you’ve experienced is painful. When your efforts and sacrifices depend on the standards of people who will not see your value, then whatever you do will never meet their expectations. That is why it is vital to put your measures to the One who will never underestimate or look down on you. Trust God and align to His standards. He will teach you how to redirect your vision to things He wants you to see.
Losing in this world will fill you with doubts, but if you know that God is with you, you will gain more than what was taken from you. He will use your situation to lead you more into His presence, more profound in faith, and more in His love. Sometimes, He will let the problem test you and take away something from you. Only then can He occupy the space with things that will last forever in your heart. Just know that God holds the victory. Success comes in different forms. Sometimes it conforms to your expectations, but most of the time, it will exceed them. That is because He knows what you need. He knows your heart’s desire, its most profound need, and what will help you more.
God feels your pain, too, when you lose. He is not just there when you are winning but is more visible and bolder when you are losing. His presence is not only limited to the good things but is more apparent in the dark seasons of your life. When you lose, just remember that the process will help you gain a lot of things. It will make you humble and remind you that there are still many things to learn. It will help you become generous and share what you have, and you will gain motivation and inspiration in life. Losing will make you see who still believes in you even when you stumble. You will witness how patient God is in your growth. That is why losing is not at all a bad thing. It is just that, sometimes, the goal is not the prize but the things that God wants you to realize.
Be patient in your journey and in yourself. Don’t put too much pressure on achieving the goal. Instead, submit it to God. Value your trip because you will witness how you will become a better version of yourself through it. Let His teaching flow within you. Read His word and have Him always in your decisions. Don’t overthink what you lose. Instead, value what you gain. Remember, you are achieving things now better than you used to. So, continue on your journey.
