Sometimes, there’s beauty in being alone

There will be moments when you need to be separated from a group of people to be alone with your own thoughts. You might feel different and strange that you seem to be facing your seasons by yourself, unlike some people you know. Alone may sound lonely, but there’s beauty in it. It is not always sad. It could be a gift and a chance to know more about yourself. It could be the season to understand yourself better, be more patient with your mistakes, and learn from life. Sometimes, you can find the answers in moments of silence and peace.

Being separated from the rest does not mean you’re different. You just have to grow separately from them. When people in your life leave, it does not mean that you are meant to be alone, but it could be that you won’t be needing them in this season that you are in. The good thing is that you may face them alone, but God is always with you. This could be the time when you have to listen more to Him. Receive His grace and wisdom. Treasure the lessons that He taught. Sometimes, you don’t really have to know how He will direct you but purposely listen to Him and obey His words. You have to make efforts and commit to Him. Staying in His presence and bathing in His grace and teachings. You can do it in moments of silence.

So don’t be so harsh on yourself. Life happens because it is what it does. Changes constantly happen, people come and go, and the new season keeps on unfolding. When you are alone, make it a chance to grow personally. Know yourself better and assess what you have learned. Think of ways to nurture them and make the most of your season.

God becomes more visible in a grass field than in a crowd of people. He is louder in silence than with the clamor of problems and doubts. So do not worry about being alone. What’s important is that you are growing and learning in life. That season will teach you how to value peace and let silence reign when everything around you becomes so loud. It will teach you how to become more flexible in life and to accept the reality that nothing stays the same forever. Even though things change and people go, memories will still be with you. You can always look back at your past and laugh about it. You may not be with them always but more is yet to unfold.

God is with you now and forever. So do not be afraid to take that path alone. You will meet a lot of things and people. You will treasure memories and keep them with you. You will learn something and, most importantly, see more of God in your life. So cherish that moment, for more is yet to come.
