Surrender the Things you Badly Wanted to Control
God knows you better than you know yourself. You may badly desire something to happen in your life, and you can’t help but always think about it, but if you want to receive the best, then choose to surrender. You may have your own timeline, but God knows what you truly need. Surrender the desire to control the things that you long to experience and let the creator of this world take good care of you.
He knows what’s ahead. Surrender the pen to Him, and let Him lead you to the path that He orchestrated. You can’t simply rely on your own understanding. There are still things that you need to learn. And if you just depend on what you know, you will fail to experience the great blessings that He prepared. Allow Him to mold you into the person He wants you to be. The process won’t be easy, but things will only get worse if you keep on holding to the situations you simply can’t control.
If you want to have peace inside, then choose to let go. The more you hold on, the more you keep yourself from experiencing the best things in life. Accept the truth that you can’t control everything. And those things are not meant to magnify your weaknesses. It’s there to remind you that God is sovereign, after all. It means that there are steps that He determines for you to take. He is reminding you of His great power. There are path that you need to walk on so that you will learn to magnify His light. And those unexpected journeys will teach you how to cherish God’s grace. It will give you the strength and wisdom how to properly steward His promises.
Respect God’s process. You can’t comprehend everything that He is doing. His ways are sometimes different than how this world works. So instead of insisting on your own will, patiently walk with Him along the process, and only then will you slowly see the miracles that He is doing behind the scene. He is after your growth. He doesn’t want you to settle on temporary rewards and on instant gratification. There is so much more that He wants you to experience. He just can’t pour out everything to you right now because you might feel overwhelmed. He needs to take things slowly. That’s why He created certain processes that you need to faithfully follow.
God cares for you, and He will give you blessings that are beyond your comprehension. You may have a lot of trust issues. That’s why you want to control everything, but you need to learn how to surrender. You can freely express to God the things that are bothering you. Tell Him about your worries and fears and the reason why you badly wanted to hold on to things that you need to let go. Be vulnerable and honest in His presence. You can cry out and release the pain. And after that, choose to surrender and submit to God’s perfect will.
