“Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41, NIV Jesus said these words to His disciples while He was in Gethsemane. This happened before He was handed to the soldiers for His crucifixion. He encouraged them to stay awake and pray so that they won’t fall into temptation. Sometimes, like the disciples, we tend to forget God along the way and choose to listen to our flesh rather than obey our spirit. This is a great reminder for us to keep watch.
