You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Romans 5:6, NIV God’s love is not dependent on your strength. He accepted and saved you not because of your deeds or your own understanding. Jesus chose to die on the cross even when you are powerless. He chose to sacrifice His life even if you didn’t put Him first in your heart. He loves you for who you are. And it will never change even when you feel so lonely and in pain. God gave you the freedom to choose. That’s why your relationship with Him will not work if you fail to follow His ways. Remember that you and God are partners. Yes, He is your King and the Lord of your life. But God gave you the chance to do certain things on your own. You need to use that freedom for His glory and not for your own benefit.
