“Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41, NIV Jesus said these words to His disciples while He was in Gethsemane. This happened before He was handed to the soldiers for His crucifixion. He encouraged them to stay awake and pray so that they won’t fall into temptation. Sometimes, like the disciples, we tend to forget God along the way and choose to listen to our flesh rather than obey our spirit. This is a great reminder for us to keep watch. The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; Psalm 121:7, NIV If you feel threatened and worried about what’s happening around you, then come closer to God and know that He will keep you from all harm. He is watching over you day and night, so do not be afraid. You are safe in God’s arms. Stay by His side and continue to do the things that will glorify His Name.
